Cleanings & Exams

Dental exams and cleanings provide us with the opportunity to evaluate and improve your current methods of dental care, as well as detect problems before they become serious. We also educate you about prevention so that future visits do not require more extensive treatment than necessary.

For our exams at AP&P Dental, we begin by expertly cleaning your teeth and thoroughly checking for signs of tooth decay, gum disease, or oral cancer. We may or may not perform an x-ray depending on your personal oral health. Then, we’ll ask a few tailored questions about your current methods of dental care and with all the information gathered we will demonstrate proper dental care and provide suggested treatments for optimal oral health.

Dental Fillings

Dental fillings restore the appearance of dental problems caused by tooth decay or damage from an injury. Our tooth-colored restorations use the materials that are naturally beautiful, they strengthen weakened teeth, and they stop further deterioration of the tooth’s structure. All of this leads to AP&P Dental providing you with dental fillings that are a tried and true long-term solution for many dental problems.

Dental Crowns

If you are looking for a permanent solution to your dental problems, dental crowns can make your smile appear as new. Dental crowns are a reliable treatment option used to repair even the most severe of dental issues, offering a natural smile and a functional bite.

Some of the key benefits of dental crowns done at AP&P Dental include:

  • Your missing teeth can be fully replaced
  • Dental crowns look completely natural
  • Crowns offer support to your misshapen teeth or badly broken teeth
  • They can fix your smile and functional chewing problems

At AP&P Dental, you can enjoy the full benefits of the same day CEREC crowns, which includes no messy impressions, no temporary crowns, and no long wait for your permanent restoration.

Dental Bridges

Individual teeth play an important role in your ability to speak, chew, and maintain proper alignment of nearby teeth; and when you’re missing a tooth all of these abilities can go awry. Fortunately there are a few options available for replacing a missing tooth including dental bridges.

A dental bridge is a device that bridges the gap when a tooth (or teeth) are missing. Bridges are bonded into place and can only be removed by a dental professional. The entire treatment will take two to three simple appointments to complete. And afterwards you will need to brush and floss your bridge along with your natural teeth at normal intervals.

Surgical

Dental Implants

Replacing your teeth doesn’t need to be inconvenient and filled with uncertainty. At AP&P Dental, we offer world-class experience to replace missing teeth with dental implants.

A dental implant is made up of two parts: an implanted titanium post that acts as the root of your new tooth, and an artificial tooth. When implanted, they require similar dental care to regular teeth which includes routine brushing and flossing. Additionally, regular dental checkups can ensure that your dental implant will last for the rest of your life.

Dental implants done by AP&P Dental can last a lifetime and look, feel, and function exactly like your natural teeth. They do not come loose like dentures can, they are not anchored to your surrounding teeth like bridges, and there’s no limit to the amount of implants you can have.

Full Arch Dental Implants

Replacing multiple teeth or an entire arch for optimal oral health and a beautiful smile can be achieved by full arch implants – a treatment option that replaces an entire arch of teeth at once using multiple dental implants and a natural-looking full arch ceramic restoration.

In the past, patients looked to traditional dentures to replace an entire arch of teeth. While dentures can provide a natural-looking smile in some cases, they do not completely restore chewing function. Long term denture use can ultimately lead to bone loss, a weakening of the jaw, and a degradation in oral health, not to mention the usual drawbacks of traditional denture treatment.

With full arch implant treatment, we can expect to restore 100% of your natural chewing function. Also full arch implant restorations are completely fixed to the dental implants so you don’t have to worry about lack of retention, stability, or support as with the traditional dentures. . We use high-quality custom full arch ceramic restoration that will provide natural-looking teeth that match your face perfectly.

Dentures

Dentures can be a great way to replace missing or soon-to-be removed teeth. Made from sturdy acrylic, these false teeth are designed with your needs in mind so that you can potentially regain the ability to eat and speak at more comfortable, livable levels.

Dentures can replace one single tooth or even all of your teeth, and they are truly life-changing when done properly in the right circumstances.

Over time, dentures will wear down and need to be replaced in order to keep their functionality normal. Regularly scheduled dental examinations are important for your new dentures so that your oral tissue can be checked for any new disease or change.

      •
Extractions

An extraction is precisely what it sounds like; the permanent removal of your tooth. There are many factors that precede your need for an extraction including:

  • Severe tooth decay
  • Advanced periodontal disease
  • Broken tooth is beyond restoration
  • Poor positioning in the mouth (impacted teeth)
  • Preparation for orthodontic treatment
  •

Tooth extractions can be completed through surgical or non-surgical means. When choosing what treatment will work best for you, your dentist will consider many things including how old you are and the current level of your physical condition.

Cosmetic

Veneers

A porcelain veneer is a thin, tooth-colored piece of porcelain that is fitted over the front of your tooth or teeth in order to fix any imperfections including:

  • Stained or discolored teeth
  • Worn or chipped teeth
  • Crooked teeth
  • Teeth with large gaps or uneven spacing
  •

At AP&P Dental our porcelain veneers are specifically used to recreate the natural look of your teeth while also providing strength and durability comparable with enamel. There’s a lot to love about veneers, and they are your fastest way to a beautiful, bright smile. Stop hiding behind your cosmetic dental imperfections and let the real you shine through with porcelain veneers.

Clear Aligners

Clear aligners are a thin, virtually invisible type of dental brace made of flexible plastics. They are designed around a three-dimensional image taken of your mouth and jaw. That image is then used to put together a series of molds that will gradually move your teeth into their proper place.

Clear aligners are a safe, effective, and discreet alternative treatment option if you wish to straighten your teeth without metal braces. If you’re looking to straighten your teeth, the answer couldn’t be any clearer. AP&P Dental offers clear aligners that will straighten your teeth faster, at a lower cost than other orthodontic treatments, and without hindrance to your everyday life.

Botox

Botox can be used to minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, as well as reducing headaches and jaw pain by decreasing force of clenching and grinding. Botox injections are always tailored to meet your needs, and we will ensure your comfort. You will begin to see or feel improvements in about a week, and the effects of Botox generally last around 3-6 months.
